Locate objects the fastest and easiest way with Robotiq’s Wrist Camera! The following introductory video will present you the Wrist Camera, defined by the Visiion and Vision System. The Vision System uses the Robotiq Wrist Camera and the URCap software on Universal Robots to provide you with a simple object teaching interface. The interface allows to set up the Vision System so it can recognize object locations and orientations automatically. The Camera is designed to work in industrial applications in combination with the Robotiq Hand-E, 2F-85 and 2F-140 Adaptive Grippers. Get a glimpse of what the Wrist Camera can do to help you automate your robotic tasks faster!

This lesson will guide you through the use of the Automatic Object Teaching mode of the Wrist Camera on e-Series Universal Robots. Once the Snapshot Position is defined, you can use the Camera Locate node to teach and locate an irregular shaped object. The Automatic Object Teaching mode builds a model based on images and multiples scans of the object. Use this method if the orientation of the object has to be detected using one of its features.
Feature Highlights
- Use the calibrated snapshot in the Camera Locate node
- Teach a model based on the object
- Add or remove particular features on the object to create the model
- Create a simple pick and place task based on the model
