Wrist Camera
Topic outline
-
Locate objects the fastest and easiest way with Robotiq’s Wrist Camera! The following introductory video will present you the Wrist Camera, defined by the Visiion and Vision System. The Vision System uses the Robotiq Wrist Camera and the URCap software on Universal Robots to provide you with a simple object teaching interface. The interface allows to set up the Vision System so it can recognize object locations and orientations automatically. The Camera is designed to work in industrial applications in combination with the Robotiq Hand-E, 2F-85 and 2F-140 Adaptive Grippers. Get a glimpse of what the Wrist Camera can do to help you automate your robotic tasks faster!

In this lesson, learn how to use the Robotiq Wrist Camera’s Import CAD Model feature to create a visual model of any part. Simply create a 2D drawing of the important edges of your CAD model and save it in DXF format. Import it into the camera software application… and you’re ready to go! This easy way to import models will help you capture highly reflective objects and speed up your cycle time. Watch as David Rochette, a Robotiq technical trainer, shows you how to create a CAD import model in this short tutorial.
Import CAD Model How-to Video
- Create a 2D
- Select the important edges
- Import the 2D DXF file
- Create a program based on the model
-
Do you need to create a second surface and keep the same distance between the camera and the object?
David Rochette, a technical trainer at Robotiq, shows you how to import a snapshot position.
Import Snapshot Position How-to Video
- Define the work plane
- Verify the work plane
- Define the snapshot position
- Import the position
-
In this video, learn how to create a model in a perfect location using the automatic method and use this model in an application situation.
Change Snapshot Position How-to Video
- Use the automatic teaching method to modelize the object
- Create a one-click calibration of the new work surface
- Change the snapshot position for the existing "Cam Locate" node
-
In this video, learn how to export a model to another robot.
Export Model to Another Robot How-to Video
- Save the program on a flash drive
- Upload the program to another robot
- Select a calibration
- Modify the model position
- Edit the "Moves" nodes
- Doublecheck the gripper ID
